WE ARE GHYLL HOUSE FARM YARNS

ABOUT US

Welcome to Ghyll House Farm Yarns, a venture born from the shared passion of two sisters, Collette and Chrissy, located in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales.

Influenced by their Nana’s early teachings in knitting, the sisters embarked on a journey to merge their love of wool with the beauty of their Yorkshire home, and drawing inspiration from their idyllic surroundings, Collette and Chrissy ventured into Arm Knitting.

The serenity of the breath taking vistas of Wharfedale fuelled their collaboration to establish Ghyll House Farm Yarns where they now teach this skill to others.

Chrissy resides and works on Ghyll House Farm, a historic family run, working farm situated at the base of Ilkley Moor, spanning four generations. In 2014, seizing an opportunity during the Tour de France’s passage through the village, the family transformed part of their land into a temporary campsite. This endeavour blossomed into an acclaimed and award-winning site, featured on Channel 4’s The Perfect Pitch.

During the summer months classes will be held here.

Collette resides in the nearby picturesque village of Cononley, North Yorkshire.  Surrounded by fields & countryside, Cononley is a small parish just three miles south of Skipton, easily accessible as the village has it's own train station.  With beautiful local walks, Collette & her husband enjoy walking with their two dogs, Lily & Mable.

During the winter months classes will be held here.
